Tyrone company creates 12 new jobs

County Tyrone company JPM Trailers Ltd is creating 12 new jobs following a significant increase in export sales as a result of a range of Invest Northern Ireland support.
The Donaghmore company, which manufactures and supplies high quality trailers for agricultural and commercial use, has secured contracts in Europe worth £2.5 million. The success comes after Invest NI helped the company to target new markets in Switzerland, Austria, Estonia and Belgium.
JPM Trailers is now recruiting 12 new staff, supported by Invest NI’s Jobs Fund.
Commenting on the company’s success, Kevin McCann, Invest NI’s Director of Advanced Engineering and Construction, said: “JPM Trailers’ decision to target export markets has paid dividends. The company’s order book is now so full that it needs to take on new staff and extend its factory to cope with the demand.
“The company has taken advantage of a range of Invest NI support including marketing, technical advice and research and development assistance to help it develop new products. Our latest support, through the Jobs Fund, will ensure that it is able to deliver against its contracts and build on its reputation for high quality trailers.”
Pat O’Neill, Managing Director of JPM Trailers, said: “This is a significant expansion for the company and is a direct result of our focus on export markets and quality. We recently obtained European Whole Vehicle Type Approval for our range of tandem and tri axle commercial trailers and semi trailers. This was the result of significant investments in our R&D and quality systems over the past two years, supported by Invest NI.
“As a result of this accreditation and our marketing effort we expect to secure further export sales and are ramping up our capacity.”
JPM Trailers now sells 95 per cent of its products outside Northern Ireland.
Invest NI’s R&D support is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for Northern Ireland.
