Asda and Finnebrogue in ‘spooktacular’ deal
Asda stores across the UK will be encouraging shoppers to tuck into a ‘devilishly’ delicious seasonal range of Extra Special Pork and Toffee Apple sausages, created especially for the retailer by Downpatrick based food company, Finnebrogue.
The Halloween-themed range is part of Finnebrogue’s multi-million pound contract with Asda (which was announced earlier this year) to supply all 22 varieties of sausage in the ‘Extra Special’ range. The new ‘Toffee Apple’ sausages will be available in 329 Asda stores across the UK.
Michael McCallion, Senior Buying Manager for Asda Northern Ireland and Scotland commented: “Our Extra Special range features only the best products and the ongoing contract with Finnebrogue is a fantastic showcase for the exceptional quality of produce coming from Northern Ireland. We are always keen to champion local suppliers and create opportunities for export to the wider Asda group.
“We obviously love the taste of Finnebrogue’s sausages all year round,” Michael added, “but our Extra Special Pork and ‘Toffee Apple’ sausages make for a tantalising twist on our beloved bangers!”
