Become export ready with Access 6
Following the ‘Access 6’ export programme launch in Berlin earlier this year, German retail consultants, Green Seed, flew over to NI this month to meet with four local food and drink businesses hoping to export to the German retail market.
One of the four businesses on this strand of the export programme is Ards based Echlinville Distillery which believes that through the quality and craftsmanship of its premium whiskey and an upsurge in demand for Irish spirits on the Continent, it is well positioned to appeal to the German consumer.
Over the next 18 months, Green Seed’s team of experts will work in close partnership with Echlinville and the three other NI based companies to assess, advise and prepare them for the launch of their brands to Germany’s diverse retail and food service sector which is worth approximately €236billion in sales.
For NI food and drink businesses based in the border regions, there are still places available on five subsidised overseas ‘Study Tours’ to England, Germany, France, Benelux and Scandinavia.
The tours intend to educate SMEs about each market, providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to become export ready. For further details visit www.access6.eu or call .
