Boston-based Navinet expands in Belfast

Boston-based NaviNet, America’s largest healthcare network community, announced that it has moved to a larger state-of-the-art research and development centre located within the Northern Ireland Science Park, Belfast.
NaviNet set up its Belfast centre in 2009 with support from Invest Northern Ireland. This move will accommodate the company’s growing workforce as it seeks to recruit additional IT professionals. Mark Dudman, Senior Vice President of Product Development, NaviNet, Inc. with responsibility for operations on both sides of the Atlantic, visited Northern Ireland recently to view the new research and development centre.
“We have depended on our Belfast colleagues’ technological expertise to deliver market-leading software products to the ever-evolving U.S. healthcare market for the past five years,” said Dudman.
“We look forward to continuing to attract some of Northern Ireland’s brightest and best to NaviNet as we increase our capability to rapidly develop and deploy mission-critical applications on the NaviNet network.”
NaviNet develops innovative, industry-leading SaaS-based enterprise-class software. The NaviNet network covers all 50 U.S. states and is sponsored largely by healthcare payers, who benefit from the efficient communication of provider-to-payer interactions, such as insurance verification, reimbursement investigation, referrals, authorizations, and the exchange of highly valued clinical information. The more than 375,000 administrative and clinical users in the NaviNet community utilize over 150 different workflows.
The tunable, configurable network empowers health plans and healthcare delivery systems to pursue any of the many U.S. reform strategies that depend on robust, flexible, and managed communications between all the people and systems who are part of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem.
