Creative Agency wins gold for Best International TV advert

Pale Blue Dot, a creative agency based in Belfast, has scooped gold at a glittering ceremony in Las Vegas which celebrates the best in political campaign techniques from around the world.
Shortlisted against stiff international competition, Pale Blue Dot is the first agency from Northern Ireland to take home such a high profile prize in the lucrative political campaigning market.
The agency won the award for their work on the Alliance Party Election Broadcast which aired most recently during the run up to the European Elections last year.
A departure from the standard local party Election Broadcast efforts, the animation based approach caught the eye of the judges in the US for its innovation, execution and clarity.
The Reed Awards, run by the prestigious Campaigns and Elections magazine, are renowned for celebrating excellence in political campaigning, campaign management, political consulting and political design and the winners represent the latest techniques and talent in the business.
The campaign will now be featured in the prestigious Campaigns & Elections which is read by the key political influencers and the biggest spenders in US political campaigns.
Shane Greer, Chairman of Campaigns & Elections praised Pale Blue Dot for their achievement:
“The Reed Awards are the most coveted awards in political campaigning. Winning one marks the recipient out as being the very best in the industry. Pale Blue Dot is one of very few non-American firms to ever win a Reed. It speaks volumes about their talent and skill.”
Jaime Steele, Managing Director of Pale Blue Dot who picked up the award in person said today:
“To win an award of this standing has been a fantastic experience. To be right up there with some of the biggest creative agencies in the US and from around the world is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team in Belfast.”
“We have always taken a different approach to the projects that we work on and this ultimately helps develop fresh and creative ideas.”
“The creative industry in Northern Ireland has time and again proven itself to be a worthy contender on the global stage and I’m happy that we can add our name to that ever expanding list.”
