The world of business may be no laughing matter, but local business leaders will be treated to one of the UK’s most famous comedy pianists at this year’s Institute of Directors Northern Ireland (IoD NI) Annual Dinner.

Kev Orkian, who is renowned for merging the worlds of humour and music, and was once called an “absolute genius” by Prince Charles, will provide the entertainment at one of the most anticipated business networking events of the year on 6 February 2014 at the Europa Hotel, Belfast.

He will be joined by Derry/Londonderry native, RTE Dragon’s Den panellist Peter Casey, who has created successful businesses on three different continents.

“The Annual Dinner is one of the largest business events to be held in Northern Ireland and certainly a highlight of the Institute’s calendar,” said IoD NI Divisional Director, Linda Brown.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet with fellow directors and access their wealth of experience and expertise, as well as hear from a global success story about the rewards and challenges of managing top companies around the world.”

The Annual Dinner, which this year is sponsored by Bank of Ireland and Arthur Cox solicitors,  will include the presentation of the IoD Lunn’s Award of Excellence. The recipient, chosen from the winners of the recent IoD NI Director of the Year Awards, will receive a limited edition Rolex wristwatch and the perpetual trophy presented by Lunn’s the Jewellers. The prize draw will also raise funds for the Institute of Directors Northern Ireland Charity of the Year, Stepping Stones.
